Treglasta Manor is close to the picturesque coastal villages of Tintagel, Boscastle and Port Isaac.

With breathtaking beaches at nearby Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven,  the South West Coastal Path for walkers and a thriving surfing scene, there is always plenty of thrilling things to see and do here.  The coastal resorts of Bude and Widemouth Bay, well known for their superb surf and sandy beaches can be reached within 15-20 minutes, while Padstow and Rock are 30-40 minutes drive away.

This stunning location is perfect for exploring Cornwall and Devon, with plenty of walking and cycling opportunities close by. Nestled in a quiet location in the very heart of the North Cornish countryside yet within good access of the A395 and A39. 

The rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor with its myriad of walking and hiking opportunities is also within striking distance of the property.  The ancient capital of Launceston, with its hilltop castle lies approximately 12 miles to the east.

BOSCASTLE

Nestled in the crook of a steep valley at the confluence of three rivers, Boscastle is an unspoilt fishing village just 15 minutes away

Designated an Area of Outstanding Beauty, the National Trust own and care for the beautiful medieval harbour and surrounding coastline. which has a seafaring heritage stretching back to Elizabethan times. 

Wander through the town's streets with its quaint buildings, souvenir shops, pottery galleries, and whitewashed cottages and marvel at how Boscastle has recovered from the flash flood of 2004, when a massive torrent of water swept through the village and destroyed or severely damaged everything in its path.

Stop for a fabulous seafood treat at The Rocket Store or enjoy a traditional ale and fresh locally sourced produce at The Napolean Inn.

 

TINTAGEL

Go on a magical adventure at Tintagel Castle, Associated with the legend of King Arthur and set high on this rugged coastal site, cross the spectacular new bridge to take in the magnificent views of the coastline and explore this dramatic headland.

Roughly 20 minutes drive away from Treglasta Manor, Tintagel is one of the most spectacular historic sites in Britain.

Port Isaac

PORT ISAAC

Port Isaac is a traditional fishing village with a vibrant local community and home to the TV series Doc Martin. 

Visitors are enchanted by the narrow winding streets with white-washed cottages leading down to the atmospheric harbour front where you can watch local fishermen landing their daily catch of fish, crab and lobsters.

 Port Isaac is approximately 25 minutes by car from Treglasta Manor.

PADSTOW

The town is centred around the charming working harbour, with gift shops, pasty parlours, art galleries and the National Lobster Hatchery where marine life conservation can be seen in action. Surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches there are plenty of walks; the best known of which is ‘The Camel Trail linking Padstow to Wadebridge and then Bodmin via an old 18 mile railway track set along the Camel Estuary. 

Much loved by foodies, with many fine restaurants such as Rick Stein’s Seafood RestaurantPaul Ainsworth's No6, and Prawn on the Lawn, there are also tea rooms, cafés, and pubs to cater for all tastes and budgets. 

Padstow is roughly 30 minutes drive from Treglasta Manor.

EDEN PROJECT


The legendary Eden Project is a world renowned experimental garden housed in tropical biomes. A fun, educational, family-friendly day out, you can visit the world's largest rainforest in captivity with steamy jungles and waterfalls

There are themed events according to the seasons, workshops for adults and children, activity days, music concerts and much more besides. The Eden Project is around 40 minutes drive from Treglasta Manor.

EATING OUT


This area of North Cornwall has some great options for eating out, from simple pub style food to fine dining experiences. 

For local supplies and provisions head to top rated Boscastle Farm Shop and Cafe and Hilltop Farm Shop Cafe & Restaurant.

The Wilsey Down pub is within walking distance of Treglasta, and other pubs a short drive away include The Rising Sun at Altanun, The St Tudy Inn and the famous Jamaica InnFor a tasty local treat head to award winning Peckish FIsh and Chips in nearby Camelford.
